(KG sent along some more art of Punishment GLaDOS — Thanks a lot, KG!)
Forgot to reblog this before—I love the creepy turret eyes in the back and the way her skin and eye glow! She looks spooky and mechanical, like a doll. Really neat!

This is not glaringly symbolic. Not at all.
So it seems I’m not totally late when it comes to doing something for once…? Woooo, I feel accomplished.
BUT WHAT IS THIS FOR? Why The Punishment’s birthday, of course! 8U The best Portal 2 fanfiction out there! Written and illustrated by lovely, lovely people!
I really wanted to do something much more ambitious and movie poster-like with the three main characters, but my muse went “NOPE”, so I hope sad Wheaters will suffice. oAo
Here’s to another year of awesome!
So sad! I love the dramatic lighting and the monochrome/color combination. Thank you so much! c:
Reblogging for keeps on my blog. This makes me sad in a good way. I really like the dramatic shadows and the contrasts. And his nose! His nose is adorable despite his anguish.
So this is Punishment!Wheatley and Chell riding a mammoth. I guess Aperture just had one lying around somewhere.
You, uh, kinda had to be there.
YES
Bahhh Ironychan, I love your art so much. And this is such an adorable mammoth. Aww.
It is MAY 4TH
DO YOU GUYS KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS
The Punishment is a whole entire year old.
… It’s the biggest cliche, but I kind of want to make a cake for it.
YES PERFECT
I love these versions of them.
Ironychan you are my favorite person rn
Oh my gosh oh Ironychan yes, brilliant! I love your designs so much, and this picture is just too funny. Thank you for this c:
[I had to. I read “The Punishment, and I had to draw the GLaDOS from it…the story is awesome.]
Ooh, GLaDOS! Her hair looks so lovely here, I kind of want to run my fingers through it. It almost (almost) counteracts how terrifying the blood spatters all over her body are. I love the half-hidden grin and glowy eye!
I would post a nice picture or whatever but I had hoped I would be finished with Punishment illustrations today but that is not going to happen (I’m sorry, I’m close! SO CLOSE!) so I did not have time to make you anything. Instead, enjoy something hopefully interesting but potentially disturbing, the two clay sculptures I use for reference when drawing Chell and Wheatley!
No I am not much of a sculptor and yes these look like the two creepiest cherubs ever but they help give me confidence in drawing their faces from different angles. They are about 2-3 inches tall, made from Plastalina. I made the Wheatley first shortly after starting pictures on the Punishment because I needed to finalize his appearance in my mind. Before then my image of him kept shifting depending on what art I had been looking at at the time and I was having some difficulty not drawing him too handsome, so this maquette helped me nail down his looks. My first Chell sculpture followed soon after when I realized just looking up screenshots of her wasn’t cutting it for me. But that Chell sculpture met with an unfortunate end thanks to a Loomis figure drawing book. Fortunately I think I recaptured her well enough with this second sculpture.
They are covered in thumbprints and fingernail dents, they’re dusty and their ears smoosh into their heads when I hold them wrong, and I’ve remade his nose so many times after so many falls, but I love them both very much.
OH MY GOOODDDD
Things happened.
Can that be new Lindsayblog code for “I drew shameful things,” or…?
I was going to reblog this when I got around to posting all the NSFW stuff that’s accumulated in my drafts, but that’s still a while away and it’s behind a cut anyway so people who don’t want to see lovely naked Chelley can just not click!
I really love the way you drew Chell’s expression in this—that and the tension in her foot and leg, really nice! And his hair looks so soft I want to pet it, but that would be intruding, maybe. I don’t think he looks TOO much like he knows what he’s doing, more like he’s really really really focused on it at the moment and she appreciates that c: (It’s nice to see Chell having such a good time!)
Guys. I really love ChellxWheatley. Like, I just do. And I’ve been reading a lot of fanfiction lately.
The Punishment got me all giddy and bothered so I derped and made fanart. Yay!

Aaahhhh!! This is so ridiculously adorable I can’t even handle it, I’ve been smiling ear-to-ear for ten minutes already and my face is starting to hurt help meeee
I love your drawing style, it’s so sweet and fun. And those smiles! This is just a bundle of happiness in image form. My night is made.
A while back I was feeling really down from a lot of drama in my life, and my fantastic wonderful talented internet friends responded by sending me kind messages and beautiful art and I am just overwhelmed by all the warm fuzzies! Baysalt took some ridiculous doodles I made here and miraculously transformed them into these endearing, professional quality character designs! Suddenly they are all so adorable and well done with distinct character shapes and clear personality, I don’t know how she does it. I can’t look at them without smiling.

This is kittens and cotton candy levels of adorable. He looks so happy and she looks so not happy and She looks so creepy… great caricatures of each of their characters, and to think they were inspired by a frustrated doodle!
I was staying over at a friend’s house getting ready for my trip, feeling really anxious and tired, when I saw that Not-Quite-Normal sent me this. I lied to my friends that my eyes were watery from sleep deprivation.
Again, I can’t believe how lucky I am to have such generous, thoughtful, talented friends! She captured so much intensity and movement in this scene, such strong poses and clear expression! And I love the dramatic lighting and unhealthy colors, the bits of highlight in their hair and behind her ear. Probably the darkest, scariest picture to make me as happy as it does!

What fantastic atmosphere! I really love the way not-quite-normal depicts these two, and oh man his expression. :c Those highlights and motion lines are just great, especially the sort of glowy red lines—really interesting and (if I may read maybe too much into it) reminiscent on him of the blood beneath the skin and on her all of the bad things going on inside her head. This is heartbreaking and amazing at the same time!
