Sleeping
Wheatley was alone for a long time while he waited for Chell, wasn’t he? So, I wrote a fic about it. It’s basically the plot of the comic I’m doing, but I had to write it out.
Aww, I really enjoyed this. It’s very somber, but very sweet at the same time. I love the idea that he noticed her in the facility and attached himself to her for company for all those years… such a sad image, made sadder by his dreams of getting out and (of course) what ended up happening. The image of her shifting and smiling in her sleep as he gets his hopes up is probably my favorite part.
By the way, you write good pointless Wheatley rambles! Very stream-of-consciousness, almost like he’s just gotten used to letting every single thought out as speech over the years… it really works!
Can’t wait to see the comic if/when you draw it!
