Poor tough Chell coming to terms with her loneliness! I think the way you’ve portrayed her place among the humans is very sad, but very realistic. (And I must say, giving such a thorough mini-analysis of her place in society in response to a silly prompt about puppies? Unexpected but impressive and totally welcome!)

Heavy topics aside, that was hands-down the most adorable description of a puppy I have ever read. Damn. It made me want one, and I don’t even like dogs. And the end sentence is so adorable too!

What a nice feel-good fic. I’ll tell myself that after this Chell took her puppy to the dog park every day and made friends with other dog owners and got better over time and was happy forever because puppies the end. :)
